Reimers Seed Farm has been growing flax in North Dakota since 1955. For many years, flax was also raised in
south Texas by Reimers Seed Farm. Traditionally, almost all of the flax grown has been marketed for use in
production of linseed oil. While this use remains predominant, new and exciting markets have developed.
Flax for human or animal consumption has been the subject of much research because of the new awareness of
its health benefits in the form of Omega 3 fatty acids.
Please refer to www.ameriflax.com for detailed nutritional facts, flax use
in animal and poultry feed, industrial use, and information on Omega 3 eggs. Certified seed for planting
is available, as it has been since 1955.
